Damn but time flies when you’re having fun!

Has an awesome time with Anam, Ian & the girls over the weekend. Lots of fun and laughing and hugging (Fay is one of the few people who can get away with hugging me and keeping all her limbs!) and pizza of course. No photos – Anam took all those and I don’t have them yet.

A few bits and pieces that have caught my eye lately…

Aisling’s bringing the ‘zine back. Aisling was one of the main influences in my early-online art journaling life when I discovered I wasn’t the only person slapping stuff in books and calling it art.

Daler-Rowney are running a competition that’s open to anyone worldwide. Submissions due end of February.

One of my favourite artists, Audrey Kawasaki, did a massive update on her LJ the other day. Check out the detail in these babies.

One of my favourite Moleskine illustrators, Anna Rusakova, has started updating her LJ a little more often. You can check out more of her work on the Behance network. I wish that either I understood Russian or that Google translated it more accurately.

And finally, if 2009 has left you feeling a little frazzled, try reading this letter from Gala Darling – complete with amazing illustration by Andrea Joseph (who also has a zine out). If Gala’s letter doesn’t lift your spirits just a bit, then nothing will.
