YouTube’s music came out quite loud on this one… might want to turn your speakers down.
This is the finished page from my freeĀ UStream classes this week and last week, on ‘Shadows & Fabrics’. We concentrated mostly on the fabrics, doing step-by-step shading in Neocolor IIs and Prismacolour pencils, and learned a lot about light and shadow in the process.
This page started as a doodle of a dragon. Then I remembered it’s almost Chinese New Year and it’s the year of the water dragon, so I continued the theme with an attempt at an Asian-Chinese looking face.
Tomorrow’s UStream show is all about SHADOWS & FABRICS as requested by @DarcyW on twitter. Last week’s audience wanted to see more fabrics and the picture finished, with a special request for ‘velvet’ from @GulfSprite on twitter.
