This is the finished page from my free UStream classes this week and last week, on ‘Shadows & Fabrics’. We concentrated mostly on the fabrics, doing step-by-step shading in Neocolor IIs and Prismacolour pencils, and learned a lot about light and shadow in the process.

This page started as a doodle of a dragon. Then I remembered it’s almost Chinese New Year and it’s the year of the water dragon, so I continued the theme with an attempt at an Asian-Chinese looking face.
